When we are in the womb, we can be affected—sometimes profoundly—by the emotional or physical challenges our mother or parents are experiencing. These imprints, even if subtle, may continue to influence us negatively throughout our lives, often without our conscious awareness.
In many cases, trauma can also occur during the birth itself. This might include the mother or baby being medicated, a difficult delivery, or the baby being placed in an incubator and unable to bond immediately with the mother. These early experiences can trigger emotional patterns such as anxiety, disconnection, fear, a sense of danger, or being stuck in ‘fight or flight’ mode.
